BankKart SeyahatMobile Travel Experience

Project overview
BankKart Seyahat is a mobile travel experience within Ziraat Mobile that I designed from the ground up. I led the end-to-end product design across hotels, flights, car rentals, tours and cruises, and created the Design System and component library that unify the experience.
The Challenge
BankKart Seyahat was designed as a completely new mobile travel experience from the ground up. The main challenge was to bring multiple travel products — including hotels, flights, car rentals, tours and cruises — into a single, consistent product experience.
Each category required different search inputs, information hierarchies, booking steps and decision-making patterns. The goal was to create a unified mobile structure that felt simple and familiar for users while still supporting the specific requirements of each travel product.
My Contribution
I planned and drove the mobile product design work end-to-end, from defining the overall product structure and key booking journeys to establishing shared interaction patterns and designing the final interfaces.
I was responsible for translating the requirements of hotels, flights, car rentals, tours and cruises into coherent mobile experiences. This included structuring the journeys, defining how users moved through key booking stages, resolving shared UX patterns and maintaining consistency across the product.
I designed the hotel, flight, car rental, tour and cruise journeys across key stages including search, product listings, guest information, checkout, payment and supporting states.
Alongside the product experience, I created the BankKart Seyahat Design System and component library from the ground up. I defined the visual foundations, reusable components, interaction states and shared patterns needed to maintain consistency across different travel journeys while allowing each category to support its own functional requirements.
01 — Design System
The BankKart Seyahat Design System was created from the ground up to establish a shared foundation across the entire mobile experience.
I defined the core visual foundations, reusable components, interaction states and common UI patterns used throughout the product. The system was designed to maintain consistency across different travel journeys while still allowing individual product categories to support their own functional requirements.
This shared component structure also reduced unnecessary variation between screens and created a scalable foundation for expanding the product.

02 — Products
BankKart Seyahat brings multiple travel categories into a single mobile ecosystem, including hotels, flights, car rentals, tours and cruises.
Rather than forcing every product into the same interaction model, I created a shared structural language while allowing each category to use the search inputs, content and booking patterns required by its own journey.
The result is an experience that feels part of the same product without making fundamentally different travel services behave identically.

03 — Hotel Booker
The hotel booking experience was designed to guide users through destination, date and guest selection without presenting the entire booking setup as one dense form.
Each step focuses on a single decision while preserving the context needed to continue the journey. Shared interaction patterns and clear primary actions help keep the flow predictable and easy to navigate on mobile.

04 — Product Listings
Hotels, flights and car rentals require users to evaluate very different types of information before making a decision.
I designed the listing structure around a shared visual system while adapting the information hierarchy to the decision-making needs of each travel category.
Hotel cards emphasize accommodation details, benefits and pricing; flight results prioritize route, timing and journey information; while car rental listings surface vehicle characteristics and rental conditions.
This allowed the product to remain visually consistent without sacrificing category-specific information.

05 — Contact & Guest Information
Guest and contact information flows can quickly become dense, especially when a reservation includes multiple travelers or product-specific requirements.
I structured the forms to create a clear progression through the required information, using consistent input patterns, grouping and validation states across the experience.
The aim was to reduce visual complexity while keeping the information required to complete the reservation understandable and manageable on mobile.

06 — Payment
The payment experience brings together several high-priority pieces of information, including reservation totals, payment details and supporting actions.
I designed the hierarchy to keep the total cost and primary action clearly visible while organizing secondary information and payment controls around them.
Reusable form and interaction patterns from the Design System were used to keep the transaction experience consistent with the rest of the booking journey.

07 — Empty States
Empty and unavailable states were designed as part of the wider product experience rather than treated as isolated screens.
The goal was to clearly communicate when content or results were unavailable while giving users an understandable next step wherever possible.
These states follow the same visual and interaction language as the rest of BankKart Seyahat, helping maintain continuity even when the expected journey cannot continue.

Design Outcome
The result was a complete mobile travel experience that brought multiple booking categories together within a shared product language.
The Design System and component library created a reusable foundation for the product, helping maintain consistency across screens, states and interaction patterns as different travel journeys were developed.
The final structure allowed each travel category to preserve the information and interactions specific to its booking model without fragmenting the overall BankKart Seyahat experience.
